Group Scheduling
If you want to schedule multiple services for two (couples) or more people, you should contact the spa as soon as possible.  Scheduling groups for combined services (like massages, manicures, pedicures and facials), takes the coordination of several staff members and may take up to four weeks to accommodate.
As always, we are commited to providing you with the best possible service.
Please DO NOT PUT A NOTE IN THE "customer request" section of one appointment and expect that a second appointment will be automatically scheduled.

Truly Relaxing Massage & Bodywork
Swedish Massage

The primary goal of this therapy is to relax the entire body.  This is accomplished by working the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.  This type of massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Additional Swedish massage techniques include circular pressure applied by the hands and palms, firm kneading, percussion-like tapping, bending and stretching.  Before and during your session, communication is encourages with your massage therapist so that your session is customized to your specific needs.

Lomi Lomi

This technique relaxes the entire being, assisting in the letting go of old beliefs, patterns and behaviors that cause limitations and which are stored in the cells of the bodyA difference from other massage techniques is that you lay directly on the vinyl of the table and you are covered by a small sheet or towel leaving most of the body exposed during the massage, while maintaining your modesty.  Under body and full body strokes also help to free the energy, make the body soft, promoting free and abundant flow of life energy in the client.

AromaTouch Technique

A clinical approach to applying essential oils along energy meridians and visceral contact points of the back and feet to help balance sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems of the body.  This technique includes four primary steps designed to support healthy emotional and physiological functions for wellbeing.  Helps reduce chronic stress, strengthens immune system, reduces inflammation and promotes proper homeostasis.

Reiki (pronounced ray-kee)

Reiki is an ancient art of lying on of hands and is Japanese for "universal life energy."  This healing modality is highly effective when helping to release emotional stress or hypersensitive areas.

Pregnancy Massage

Mommies to be need massage, too!  The gentle, non-invasive approach of pregnancy massage can ease discomfort, help you prepare for labor and give you the emotional support of a caring practitioner.  We can use the bodyCushion for the session for your comfort (you actually get to "lie on your belly" - without putting any pressure on your uterus or baby)!

Deeply "Kneaded" Massage & Bodywork

Deep Tissue Massage

This technique focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.  It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger/forearm pressure on the contracted areas either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons or fascia (connective tissue).

Hot Towel Massage

This session will target a specific area (legs/feet; back/neck; or hands/arms) and is ideal for anyone who suffers from chronic pain or limited mobility due to athletic training, repetitive movements and overuse.  Use of heated towels and essential oils allows the tissues to respond to the bodywork more effectively.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger point massage therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release.  Results of released constricted areas in the muscles and alleviation of pain can be expected.  Receiving trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is designed for athletes, but is useful for anyone with chronic pain, injury or range-of-motion issues.  The session is developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function during training.  Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muslces and tendons.

Enhance your massage therapy session by adding on either a hot stone or bamboo for only an additional $10.
 Hot Stone Massage

Stone Massage is an ancient form of therapeutic massage using heated river stones as extensions of the hand.  Smooth river stones are heated in water then glided with firm pressure along the body.  Stone therapy can bring deep tissue release and alignment between body, mind and spirit.  Allow the heat of the stones to soften tension and melt away your worries.

Bamboo Massage

The bamboo is warmed to penetrate and relax the muslces quicker.  The use of bamboo as extensions of the therapist's hands and fingers during this specialized massage will leave you feeling a deep sense of renewal.  A variety of movements are used drawing from Swedish to deep tissue, to dissolve knots and relieve tension.


Reflexology for the Feet

Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet, which correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body.  It is a unique method of using the thumb and fingers on these areas.  Sit back, put up your feet and let us restore and maintain your body's natural balance.

On-Site Seated Chair Massage
Massage that is done while you rest on an ergonomically designed "chair" that offers full support of your head (face forward), arms, torso and legs.  Using kneading and smoothing massage strokes on the neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands we can achieve relaxation and pain relief.

Heavenly Head Massage

Heavenly Head Massage is a wonderfully relaxing therapy that includes massage of the shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, face, ears and energy balancing.  It can provide relief from headaches, neck and shoulder stiffness, stress symptoms, insomnia, promote hair growth, and soothe, comfort and rebalance your energy flow which gives you a deep sense of peace, calm and tranquility.

Ear Candling
60 mins ~ $40; each additional candle ~ $2.50 and 10 minutes

Ear candling is a centuries -old practice used to remove wax buildup and inner ear blockage.  This soothing application involves placing a paraffin cylinder genlty into the ear.  The cylinder is then lit at the opposite end to create a vacuum.  This is also beneficial for sinus trouble.


The Role of the Massage Therapist
A licensed massage therapist is a professional whose role is treatment and movement of soft tissues and body joints primarily by performing therapeutic massage.  A licensed massage therapist may also assist in the assessment for range of motion and muscle strength, and by proposing treatment plans.  The goals of therapeutic massage are general wellness, injury recovery, stress management, palliative care and preventative maintenance.
